Hi, I’m Jeff — a former culinary media producer turned bookkeeping professional.

With nearly three decades of experience in food and culinary media — both as a freelancer and a brick-and-mortar store owner — I transitioned from culinary media production to integrative nutrition and then bookkeeping. Running fast-paced culinary productions taught me how to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and pay attention to every detail — skills I now bring to managing your finances.

As the founder of Parker Bookkeeping, I specialize in providing personalized bookkeeping solutions using tools like QuickBooks. Whether you’re categorizing expenses, reconciling accounts, or planning for growth, my goal is to take the stress out of bookkeeping so you can focus on what truly drives you.

As someone with ADHD, I’ve built my workflow to be clear, low-pressure, and judgment-free. You won’t find jargon, overwhelm, or shame here — just calm, straightforward support. I know how overwhelming financial tasks can feel, especially when executive function isn’t cooperating, so I’ve designed systems that actually work with how your brain operates.

When I’m not crunching numbers, you’ll often find me outdoors — whether hanging at the beach or sipping coffee with friends in sunny San Diego. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, and spending time at the theater.

Hank, our French Bulldog office manager

Hank is our five-year-old French bulldog, emotional support animal, and full-time nap enthusiast.

He takes his job very seriously — making surprise video call cameos, monitoring snack consumption, and enforcing mandatory stretch breaks throughout the day. You’ll often hear his signature snores or grumbly chatter in the background — consider it moral support.

While he doesn’t handle any bookkeeping (yet), Hank’s real talent is reminding us to slow down, breathe, and approach things with a little more patience — including our finances.
